Gnome uninstalled

Hi all,

I am new to Linux world. While doing update proces on my server machine using add/remove software, I uninstalled the gnome environment and some apps.
Is there any way I can reinstall them using internet/ cd-rom without reinstalling the whole server?
I could not even get into gui environment anymore.
Plz help...

Request received to delete 2 mods posts to restore 0-reply status.

That's unlikely to happen, but I have asked about merging the mods' posts into OP instead.

Note: This wasn't just a single duplicate post, but one of 4 which greatly complicated the mods' jobs in disposing of them correctly.
