gnome starts multiple programs

Everytime I start gnome, it starts up multiple instances of both thunderbird and firefox, plus a filebrowser, and a terminal. I spend the first minute closing all of these apps. Can I set up gnome so it does not start any programs when it is started?

Hi.

Close all of the apps. And then log out of gnome.

You need to chose the option to remember the last Session when you log in. I had this happen to me, as soon as you choose it you won't have it happen again.

Good luck
Craig
