Gnome Evolution 3.12 Calendar Problem
Greetings all,
I run Debian 8 Jessie with Gnome 3.14 (Evolution 3.12 I believe), and am having a problem with the evolution calendar. Long story short, I had to import my contacts and personal calendar into Evolution when I switched from another distro with KDE to Debian with Gnome recently, and neither one came in very cleanly into Evolution. I'll spare you the details but the main problem I'm having now is that the gnome-evolution-calendar-factory process is running my dual-core CPU at 100 intermittently, and literally filling my hard disk with errors in the syslog (/var/log/syslog) related to out-of-range dates in the calendar "libecal error - time/day/month >= 1900 failed," etc. I believe there is a problem because although my calendar appointments are all there, the recurring appointments cannot be edited by evolution "sorry this cannot be edited". I have stopped the gnome-evolution-calendar-factory process for now to stop the cpu/log problem, and I'm thinking (hopefully perhaps) that if I can fix the date problem, hopefully the cpu/syslog problems will go away and I can continue to use gnome with evolution for my PIM.
My question is, what is the *proper* method to delete my existing personal calendar from Evolution (so I can start over by manually entering items into the calendar)? Do I simply delete the calendar file(s) in ~/.config/evolution/sources? is that all there is to it? I could not find a word about this in the Evolution docs.
Thanks
Josh Scott
