Gnome Calendar Crashes on Cinnamon Mint Tina upon launch

How do I get my calendar back?

I think my problems started when I tried to add google calendar.

1) Is there a way of fixing the gnome calendar so it doesn't crash upon launch?

I've listed 30 lines of log code that occur immediately after the crash... something about Evolution?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the gnome calendar with the software manager and it still crashes upon launch.

Would using terminal be more appropriate and what commands should I use?

You know, I'm frustrated.
Thanks

Did you install gnome-calendar as a flatpack?
Bloody hell, I think Ubuntu devs have really lost it.

(I know it's Mint, but it's still Ubuntu)

Coincidentally? Yesterday there was a new and large system update in the Linux Mint update manager.
I did a search in software manager for gnome calendar and TWO gnome applications appeared.
I dl'ed the first and I now have a calendar.
The calendar shows three days of weather.... my old appointments and info were not lost, just like before.
Was this a pilot error, as in mine? or what happened I have no idea, and by the number of replies to this problem I still have to wonder.

At some point in the recent past Ubuntu decided to integrate this flatpak or snappy thing or whatchamacallit into their "Software Store" (another misnomer for something that doesn't cost anything ).
On one virtual install I went through the motions of disabling that; basically by uninstalling flatpak or snap and their software store integration packages.

And Linux Mint happily builds on what Ubuntu LTS provides, so this applies to Mint, too.

On a more positive note, I can only recommend to use a sane distro, maybe debian.
