gnome applications segfault with error 6 in libXrandr
So far I can boot into X (fluxbox) with xdm (gdm will crash). Any gnome (gtk?) application I start segfaults. I'm not sure if there is something in my xorg.conf or a library package that is missing. This is a Debian system, but maybe there is a library that isn't a dependency but should be. Dmesg gives lines like
xscreensaver[3247]: segfault at 39 ip b7ffd140 sp bfa4cbbc error 6 in libXrandr.so.2.2.0[b7ffa000+6000]
gkrellm[3276]: segfault at 3a ip b732d140 sp bfc2c51c error 6 in libXrandr.so.2.2.0[b732a000+6000]
gnome-settings-[3286]: segfault at 3a ip b74c0140 sp bfb91dbc error 6 in libXrandr.so.2.2.0[b74bd000+6000]
I'm not sure if you can disable Xrandr in X or if that's even the problem. The X log doesn't give much help, but I can post if necessary. I have the latest libxrandr2 from Debian testing and I don't see any bug reports filed. All KDE apps appear to be working. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
