GIMP error in Ubuntu 9.04

Hi,

I have a problem with my GIMP software. When I open the software, its never turn on. I tried many times or restart computer. There is error report shown, but I can't operate this software.

I currently using Ubuntu 9.04, I understand this version of Ubuntu no longer supported. However, I not plan to upgrade yet.

So someone could please guide me what should I do to solve this?

we can't solve it if you don't tell us anything useful about it. An error report is shown? Well what does it say? We aren't psychic. Try running it in a terminal, that often provides useful information.

I wish I could provide more useful information for you as well.

But I really cant find out any error report.

I just cant run GIMP in my ubuntu 9.04.

After I click on GIMP, my mouse icon indicated some software is running. But end up with nothing appear.

I did try to reinstall, but its shown the same outcome.

as above, run it in a terminal.
