Getting tovid to work with slides (using svn)

Hi

Has anyone got slides DVDs working under tovid?

When I try it fails with the following error:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
todisc encountered an error:
There was a problem creating the DVD structure
Saving files in /tmp/todisc-work.0 so you can examine the situtaion
You can edit /tmp/todisc-work.0/dvdauthor.xml and rerun:
dvdauthor -x dvdauthor.xml from inside /root/todisc/todisc-work.0
Remove the symlink in /tmp when you are done
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I think it's because all the transition mpg files are zero sized:
[root@freddy todisc]# ls -lh /tmp/todisc-work.0/
total 45M
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1013K 2009-06-07 08:57 0.ppm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2009-06-07 08:57 1-1.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2009-06-07 08:57 1-2.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2009-06-07 08:57 1-3.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2009-06-07 08:57 1-4.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2009-06-07 08:57 1-5.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1013K 2009-06-07 08:57 1.ppm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1013K 2009-06-07 08:57 2.ppm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1013K 2009-06-07 08:57 3.ppm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1013K 2009-06-07 08:57 4.ppm
<snip>

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Simon

It is hard to say without seeing the todisc.log. There was a bug in the mpeg encoder in some Ubuntu incarnations - you might like to check if you can actually create an mpeg file with ffmpeg.

You should also mention what version of tovid/todisc you are using - there have been some syntax changes in some of the backends like ffmpeg, transcode and imagemagick that will cause 0.31 or earlier to error out if you are using recent versions of these backends. In that case you should use tovid svn version, removing the version you are using now.
