Getting nut-monitor to start hidden automatically at login using ubuntu1204/mint13
I can't find any similar posts on this and googling has not so far thrown anything up hence this request.
Nut V2.6.3(-1ubuntu1.1) is installed and functioning correctly after a lot of fiddling with the init.d script. Nut-monitor (same version) also installed and functioning correctly with the --start-hidden option if launched from an alt/f2 command line - ie it places an icon in the notification area, no window is displayed, and throws up a notify message if the UPS status changes. Great. However, if I do the same from a terminal the icon and the process both disappear when the terminal is closed. Same even if it is launched as background process (NUT-Monitor --start-hidden &) - get a process id but closing the terminal somehow kills both the notify icon and the process. Putting the command into the "startup applications" list does not appear to do anything either.
I would appreciate any input on this - its a "nice-to-have" feature but not a showstopper really.
