getting adobe to run in mozilla

I just tried to install adobe acrobat and am trying to get the necessary plugin for netscape to successfully open a file. whenever i try to open something it just goes to a blank page. i copied the file into the mozilla plugins directory. can someone please help me

dunno 100% for debian, but on Rh & drake x-pdf worked great.
