Getmail

Hello everyone i am having a rather problematic issue with getmail. I have setup gmail to give me pop access and can access the mail server with getmail but it will not download the message to my computer.

Here is the messages im getting

Quote:
Delivery error (maildir delivery 13524 error(127,maildir delivery process failed (not a Maildir (/home/user/mail/)))
ok so my questions is i understand this error that says i dont have a maildir folder so how would i go about creating one. ? Am i using the incorrect kind of mail folder here is my getmailrc file

Code:

[retriever]
type = SimplePOPSSLRetriever
server = pop.gmail.com
port = 995
username = user.linux@gmail.com

[destination]
type = Maildir
path = ~/mail/

[options]
verbose = 0
read_all = false
delete = true
message_log = ~/.getmail/log

of course information regarding user id and such have been changed to protect the guilty.
