gDesklets under Fedora Core 2

When I try to run it by executing gdesklets in shell, all i get is

gDesklets 0.26.2
Copyright (C) 2003, 2004 The gDesklets Team

This software is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL.

If I try to run from under the applications menu, nothing happens either. Am I missing something? The installation seemed to go fine but I don't know...

You need to install some sensor and also you need to run "gDesklets sensorname.display" to view a display.

You can find sensors and displays here http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/categories.php

Alrighty, this is what I've done, I've downloaded the (http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/categories.php?func=gd_show_app&gd_app_id=107, extracted it to /root/psi-small then entered the sensors folder and from there installed all of the sensors, then I ran:

$ gdesklets

since I've heard that it has to be ran stand-alone then I've opened another shell and executed:

$ gdesklets weather.display

I get an error:

Could not add display
The display could not be added becasue the file does not exist

so then I cd to /root/.gdeskle and ls then run:

$ gdesklets weather.display

I get a different error

Could not load sensor 'Weather'
An error occured while loading a sensor. This most likely means that the sensor is broken or simply not installed.

I've also tried a simple seperate clock desklet...yet always the same error...I have all the .dsiplays files in /root/.gdesklets and sensors in /root/.gdesklets/sensors but I don't know what's wrong....

I've seen this problem here http://gnomesupport.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5284 I don't know if anyone solved it, that thread goes on and on, which is probably not a good sign.
