G++ or C++ cannot be found

Hi, I am using Mandrake 10.1. While trying to compile some software I received the following error;

checking for c++... no
checking for g++... no
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C++ compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables.

I seem to have a faulty gcc. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

You have to install the cpp and g++ packages.

Go to rpmseek.com or rpmfind.com to find the package that's compatible with your system.
