Unhappy FVWM woes

Hi All,

I am working with Opensuse 10.3 (x86_64)

I have FVWM set up as the default window manager for root. When starting YAST, I get the following:

______________________________
(y2control center - gnome: 5090): libgnome vfs - CRITICAL**: gnome_vfs_get_uri_from_local_path: assertion 'g_path_is_absolute(local_full_path)' failed.
______________________________

BUT ...

FVWM windows do "pop up". Is there a way to switch the default window manager for user:root?

TIA

I don't know what do you mean. If you login on a graphical login manager, you can select the wm from a list probably.

If you start from command line using startx, then the init file for X is ~/.xinitrc, launch whatever WM from there.

In any case, I highly doubt that any problem that you have with yast is going to be fixed by changing the wm.
