FTP Server log location for proftpd and pureftpd

I believe my server has a possible security breach and we need to anaylize the FTP logs for every user account on the system... however I'm not quite sure where our FTP logs are located or which FTP deamon we're using.

We have cpanel on the system if this helps at all.

I need the location of the transfer log for each user for proftpd and pureftpd... and also if they switch every month or so by default. Would anyone have any insight?

Logfile for proftp is generally /var/log/xferlog. Rotation has nothing to with proftp, but is likely controlled by logrotate. The configuration files for this would likely be /etc/logrotate.conf or in /etc/logrotate.d/ .
