FTP Dropping connections

Hi all,

I'm running Fedora core 2, and my FTP server has stopped cooperating.

The connection opens, then immediately closes.

Error from FTP client:

Connecting to (edited):21
Connected to (edited):21 in 0.000000 seconds, Waiting for Server Response
Error reading response from server.
Connection closed by remote host.
Host type (1): Automatic detect

There's nothing in messages that gives any indication of an error, it just says connetion opened and session closed. I've tried it from different machines and different ISPs, and it's the same.

Any advice on where to begin would really he appreciated. Thanks!

What do your FTP server logs say? Is the process even running:
ps aux | grep ftp

Also, which ftp server are you using? Is there anything odd with the way it's configured, or are you wide open?

Cool
