Unhappy fsck error

I've started to get his error at startup after changing some of the partitioning on my drives.

Code:
Log of fsck -C -R -A -a
Thu Feb 1 18:27:44 2007

fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006)
dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN
/dev/.static/dev/hda1: 71916 files, 740665/792818 clusters
/dev/.static/dev/hda5: clean, 6217/1536000 files, 961555/3068380 blocks
fsck.ext2: Unable to resolve 'UUID=fbe9be27-69a4-4b9b-9c72-9d71ec8684c5'
fsck died with exit status 8

I can still press control+D to get to the desktop, but can anybody suggest how I would stop it from happening?

looks like you changed a partition.

you have a partition defined in your
Code:
/etc/fstab
if you change it from that long string to the actual device (e.g. /dev/hda4 -- yours may vary) you should be fine

Erm, yeah, I did change a partition. I deleted it actually. I presume there will be a whole section that i should delete from /etc/fstab. Am I right?
