freevo

I'm having problems accessing audio cds , not only with freevo but with mandrake 10 comm as well. Freevo recognizes data cds and dvds but I get a wrong media type error in the terminal after I have tried to access an audio cd. Also, I cannot mount an aduio cd in kde but I can play one with the kde cd player. it does not auto run btw. Anyone have experience with this????

Audio CDs can not be mounted like a data filesystem. However, there is a filesystem called cdfs that `exports' all tracks and boot images on a CD as normal files. These files can then be mounted (e.g. for ISO and boot images), copied, played (audio tracks), etc. You can find it at freshmeat.net.

You can configure kde to autorun audio CDs.

Thanks,
I ran across that last night. I can see why freevo won't mount audio if it does not have a native filesystem. I will check out CDFS.
Much appreciation
