free type 1 error

its rather annoying that the file that is halting my compilation is "to show off" i would rather have a basic file that compiles than a show off that trashes my builds! especially when my xorg is expecting files from this package.

Code:

Freetype-1.3.1 is from year 2001 ... 2003 ?

If you want to compile with 'gcc-4.x',
you may prefer this source code
http://packages.debian.org/etch/freetype1-tools
> > Links for freetype1-tools > [freetype1_1.4pre.20050518.orig.tar.gz]

which will compile also with 'gcc-4.3.2' with no errors.

The patch, [freetype1_1.4pre.20050518-0.4.diff.gz],
can be used, when having special requirements,
but is not necessary for compiling.
