I am trying to find a free utility for windows that i can import and analyze all my Linux /log/messages or any syslogs.

or

If anyone has a better and less time consuming way of checking and analyzing logs.

Thank you all..

Well, what do you really need? Can you use ViM (at basic level)? If yes - find GVIM for windows (easy on vim.org) and it lets you: search regular expressions (don't forget \V for it), also you can count occurences by s/<something>/&/g; use regexp-based folding (read help; this allows you to collapse a section of log); go to arbitrary line number and do some more advanced tasks useful for logs. Or do you need something else?

I guess I am looking for something a bit friendlier. I have no problem using the ViM or GViM. I know that other people that are not Linux orientated will not like it. So looking to satisfy both nonlinux (meaning Windows GUI people) and Linux all at the same time. I know.. What a pain in the you know what...lol

Thanks

Well, I would write custom .vimrc - with intuitive (for them) hotkeys and mouse interaction.

But still, what abilities are crucial? Or you can just import it in your/their favorite spreadsheet. Search, sorting by columns, but no regexps - still, is it sufficient? Be more concrete..
