I'm trying to find the right way to make the framebuffer console support (with bootsplash type stuff) work with my Radeon 9200SE. I'm using 2.6.10, and enabling framebuffer and using vga=791 in lilo.conf gives me an error about an undefined mode number. I've tried other vga modes with a similar result. I thought my kernel was configured correctly with fb and fb console support, but no luck. I compiled in the Framebuffer support, framebuffer console support, CONFIG_FB_RADEON, Video mode selection support, and boot time logo. Still, I get the error. Thoughts?

you need to enable VGA/VESA on the frame buffer, not your specific card .... altho you can use that card, its easier to just use the normal stuff.

Should I leave the card in as well? Or just VESA?
