FOSS programs to open .nb files in debian?

I have downloaded some .nb files.These files are mathematica files.One website suggests using wolfram cdf-player which is proprietary.It works well.I want foss alternatives.Suggest if any?

since it's a spreadsheet file, have u tried opening it using the text editor?

nb is mathematica file
Nb extension is used for many files.I am talking about MATHEMATICA
