I am using freeradius 2.1.8.

My nas is currenlty sending accoutning packets to my radius which is dumping it into the mysql database.

What i need it to do is to forward those accounting packets to another radius server.

If i understand correctly then to do this I have to create a realm in the proxy.conf file with the details of the radius server to forward to.


The thing is that users are conneting with no username and a password, so I put the realm as NULL, or DEFAULT, tried both and nothing works.

below is an exract from my proxy.conf file

realm DEFAULT {

authhost = 1.2.3.4:1812
accthost = 1.2.3.4:1813

}


and here is the entry for my users file

DEFAULT Auth-Type := Accept
Port-Limit = 2,

When I check the debug from radiusd -X i can not see the radius server attempting to send the radisu packets anywere


any help, or even pointers to guides to get this done will be appreciated
