formreturn OMR software

Anyone used Formreturn multiple choice Optical Mark Reader under Linux?

www.formreturn.com

It comes as a java .jar program. Looks impressive, costs $ 699.

Trouble is, the version I downloaded does not have the 'insert checkbox' tool, so I can't do the most important part, insert the little checkboxes.

Maybe because it's a trial version, but they said it was a full version, limited to 30 days.

If I can get it working, I will buy it, it will save me a lot of marking! I want to create a form, fill it in, scan it back in to my DB.
