fontconfig + gtk hangs when running as non-root

Hi,

yesterday I updated my gtk/xft/fontconfig/pango/... stuff to the newest versions... now if i try to run a gtk prog under X as root, everything is fine... if i try to run a gtk app as a user, it either won't start at all or hangs after 2 seconds... also, im not able to run fc-cache as a user (no probs when root), it just hangs without displaying some error. i guess there's some relation between these problems.

is someone able to help me please?

bye

ok solved it. had a fonts.conf file in the home dir... somehow, this caused fc-cache to hang (don't know why, casue there was no error in this file). deleted it now it works...
