fluxbox-generate_menu

I have Fluxbox 9.11 (from Debian Sarge) but do not have fluxbox-generate_menu. Where do I get it from?

Thanks. I've actually seen that, but not understood it.

Currently, fluxbox supports the debian menu system
Does that mean that fluxbox-generate_menu does not work on a Debian system?

fluxbox-generate_menu.gz
is listed as a document. I assume that it's not installable as a tool. Right?

No that is the script,just edit your .fluxbox/init like so;
session.menuFile: /home/david/.fluxbox/menu
copy that to /usr/bin name it fluxbox-generate_menu
cd /usr/bin
chmod +x fluxbox-generate_menu
and it should work,I have never tried it I just edit it by hand in debian

That's what I do too. I'm probably on the wrong track, but I'm trying to figure out how I can have my own edited menu and the Debian automatic menu. Essentially, I want to enter a few favourites at the top of the Debian gererated Fluxbox menu without messing up the automatic updating of the Debian menu. It happens with other WM's and desktops, so it should work with Fluxbox.
