Question Flushing named's cache?

I just updated one of my DNS server's zone files for a few domains.

The DNS server on my default gateway (a completely different one) still has the wrong info cached for these new domains.

How do I cause the named server to pick up the new info?

One of the many topics I never seem to get round to sit and take a long hard look at but from my readings so far you're supposed to increase the serial number when you update your records so that other servers can pick up the changes.

If you've already did that, ignore me as that's about my limit of knowledge so far.

ya... I have done this... this is for a slave server... this lets the slave server know that it has old info with respect to the domain whose serial number has been changed...

I waited a good while and all seems to be well now...

so nevermind!
