firefox - high CPU usage when watching video

Firefox: 91.12.0esr 64-bit
It's is downloaded from my vendor distro software source.

My hardware is relatively new, AMD Ryzen 5(CPU) and 8G memory.
But recently when I watching video using firefox, the fans is always working, like roaring.

I even update and change different version, but it still.

Is this situation caused by the Ryzen's CPU on linux or firefox?

plz give some clue or share your experience.

Firefox has long-standing issues with hardware video acceleration on linux, so high CPU usage is to be expected. Mozilla claimed to fix it several times, but I never made it work on my system where chromium uses hardware video decoding flawlessly. I am assuming that all prerequisites are met - your system supports hardware video decoding, has vaapi installed, etc.

Firefox is now version 102 so there have been updates since version 91.
You do not say what your OS distro or release is.
You do not tell us what your GPU is, nor the driver.

Some gpus require specific drivers to enable the hardware acceleration most are capable of. Nvidia gpus are an example where the FOSS driver (nouveau) is incapable of handling hardware acceleration and the nvidia driver is required.

Anytime the hardware acceleration cannot be used it falls back onto the GPU to render the video, thus much higher CPU load.

In other words, there are several factors involved in video with firefox and you have given us nothing on which to base our answers.

Firefox ESR 91 is still a supported version - Firefox 91.12.0esr was released three days ago.

Version 102 is the next ESR, but it only arrived a month ago and thus has not yet made it through to some distros, so - even if its numerous video-related changes are relevant to the issue - installing that version might not be an option.

Which serves as an example of why stating the distro matters (in addition to the other information highlighted as missing).

vinj: inxi can be used to get both system and graphics information, and is probably already installed.

You also need to be more specific about "I even update and change different version".

(Also, many people consider "plz" to be rude; it's worse than not saying "please" at all.)
