Firefox flash plugin installation

Hey -

I just installed Fedora Core 5, and am trying to configure things as I like them. I want the flash plugin to be a part of my firefox browswer, and so I went to the adobe website to download the tarball. The install script didn't seem to do anything, so I tried it manually, moving the libflashplayer.so to the plugins folder and the flashplayer.xpt to the components folder.

Neither worked... I'm not sure where to go from here. Help!
