I am running Slackware 10.2 on a Dell Inspiron 4100, not that I think this has much to do with my issue.
I have just to upgraded from Firefox 1.5.0.9 to Firefox 2.0.0.1 (and promptly downgraded) and came across a curious issue. In Firefox 1.5.0.9 I could go to Edit > Preferences > Content (Fonts & Colours) > Advanced (button) > Display Resolution and set Firefox to the System Setting. In Firefox 2.0.0.1 this setting seems to have gone MIA ... does anyone know how to get this right under Firefox 2.0.0.1?
I have no idea... fixed 96 DPI is a Windows standard, and it appears that Firefox targets the Windows market more than the Linux market. Or they had problems with custom DPI settings - I run at 85 DPI and my Firefox sometimes has problems with underlining fonts (whereas all the other apps also run at 85 DPI and never have such problems).
All pure speculation, though.
