filesharing app that does not require wine grrr

would rather stay away from wine for file sharing app use (such as kazaa) is there any gnu/linux native application that'll allow my to connect to media sharing communities? would like to get a few music tracks to review and would rather do it here on my gnu/linux machine then win32

Try gtk-gnutella. But i think it is very hard to get files from the gnutella Network. It's sad, that the Kazaa Projekt for Linux has ended....

I think the developers of the client came in trouble with the Kazaa Network owners. So they wasn't able to continue... You can search around with Google. There are a few articles about that.

Limewire is a Gnutella Network Client, too! So when you install gtk-Gnutella you are in the same Network as you connect with Limewire.
