ffmpeg only encodes at 25fps

Hullo there. ffmpeg has been messing me around a bit lately: it'll only encode at a framerate of 25fps.

I have a few AVI files you see, and I want to put them onto a DVD. The files are already at the standard 29.97fps, but ffmpeg re-encodes them to 25, resulting in seriously out-of-sync audio that finishes way before the video stream.

I have the latest version of ffmpeg. I've tried using various methods I've found on these forums, but of those that work, this is the furthest I've got.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on?

Thanks

Try using '-r 29.97' in your ffmpeg command.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest trying tovid.
