I've been having some problems installing Madrake 9.1 on VMware. here goes the list *breathes in*
Everything installed fine. everything looks alright on 1024*768 and KDE works fine. the first time I installed the Linux, it wouldnt get the internet connection off the Gateway which was 192.168.0.1 on Windows XP. (the linux has 192.168.0.8 as its IP address) So I cleared the whole Linux VMware file and installed it as Windows XP Proffesional Virtual Machine. After that it picked up the internet connection.
here's the real problem.
1. It connects to normal site (eg.
http://www.yahoo.com/) but it wont connect to some sites such as
www.LinuxQuestions.org or search pages on
www.Yahoo.com. maybe an MTU problem?
2. The Sound Card doesnt work egven after setting the Virtual Machine with the Sound Card I have. I wanna listen to some music while I work !!
3. It wont pick up my Physical hard drive. which VMware picks it up as SCSI (even though it's not. it's IDE). it picked up the drive when I booted Knoppix 3.2 Live-on-CD...
Very Strange...Can anyone please help me?
