Every time I boot FC3, it goes into a safe session. I have to log out, choose Session menu and check KDE instead of default session. Is Safe selected as default, or is there some problem I don't know about? It goes into KDE readily when I select it, but I can't find any place that a default session is selected.
finally got this resolved. changing /etc/sysconfig/desktop file didn't help (don't know why not)
switchdesk KDE didn't help either, however I ran "switchdesk" w/o any command tail and it reported :
burlen@quaoar:~$ switchdesk
Red Hat Linux switchdesk 4.0
Copyright (C) 1999-2004 Red Hat, Inc
Redistributable under the terms of the GNU General Public License
Desktop Switcher GUI is unavailable.
Please install the switchdesk-gui package or use
switchdesk desktopname.
So from the FC3 cd's I installed the switchdesk-gui package, and from the switchdesk-gui I was able to configure KDE instead of failsafe terminal.
