FC10 - gftp compile fails with missing stropts.h - how to fix?

Hi Guys

I'm trying to compile gftp on Fedora Core 10 - configure works but when compiling it fails with

Code:
if gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -D_REENTRANT -I../intl-DSHARE_DIR=\"/usr/local/share/gftp\" -DLOCALE_DIR=\"/usr/local/share/locale\" -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math -fexpensive-optimizations -fstrict-aliasing -funroll-loops -funroll-all-loops -fforce-addr -finline-functions -frerun-loop-opt -falign-loops=4 -falign-jumps=4 -falign-functions=4 -march=i686 -mmmx -msse2 -MT pty.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/pty.Tpo" -c -o pty.o pty.c; \
        then mv -f ".deps/pty.Tpo" ".deps/pty.Po"; else rm -f ".deps/pty.Tpo"; exit 1; fi
pty.c:65:21: error: stropts.h: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [pty.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/rylan/gftp-2.0.19/lib'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/rylan/gftp-2.0.19'
make: *** [all] Error 2
[rylan@StefanLinux gftp-2.0.19]$
It seems like Fedora Core 10 is missing the stropts.h include file in /usr/include?

Any idea how to fix this so that gftp will compile under FC10??

Thanks!

yum install glibc-headers

==========/usr/include/bits/string.h
/usr/include/bits/string2.h
/usr/include/bits/string3.h
/usr/include/bits/stropts.h
/usr/include/bits/sys_errlist.h

stropts.h

hi unixguy,

i am running fedora 10 on VMWare. i was trying to compile some sample programs from "Advanced programming in the unix environment" download.

i have the same problem as rylan76 had.

but when i tried your posted solution, it never updated anything. so the header file stropts.h was not installed.

i have gnu c installed.

thanks,
sumathi

i'm using Centos 5.2 .

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -fq /usr/include/string.h
glibc-headers-2.5-24.el5_2.2

this file string.h is provided by glibc-headers-2.5-24.el5_2.2
in Fedora 10 string.h profider glibc-headers-2.9-3.i386.rpm

please see the packages files : http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/6/idpl/11161451
