Failed printer install/uninstall, can remove broken package
So I've just attempted the folly of installing an old printer on Linux and regretting it furiously now. Resigned myself to only using it on Windows in future, but hoping a wise saint can rescue me from another OS reinstall that I can't face doing right now.
The printer/scanner was completely unresponsive on installation, I don't have enough years left to want to work out why not, subsequently followed the instructions to remove what was (allegedly) installed.
Now something related to the scanner driver seems to have borked everything. Upon trying to check for system updates, or install anything, I get various "it's broken" messages, am told to attempt a partial upgrade, before ending up with the attached message.
Have I made an unrecoverable mess with this?
