Evolution settings

Hi, I have just got Evolution going. It has downloaded every message from my gmail account. I told it to leave messages on the server.

I would just like it to download new, unread messages.

How do I achieve this? I have been through all the tabs in preferences, but can't see how to do this. I deleted all messages on my computer. But one more click on send/receive, and it downloads them all again!!

More info

Can you provide more information, which version of Evolution are you using? Which protocol are you using to retrieve emails, pop3 or imap ?

Evolution 2.28.3

pop.gmail.com smtp.gmail.com ssl

I have let it download all messages again, and set it to delete all after one day. Maybe it won't download them again! Weird.

Can't see how to affect Evolution's behaviour from gmail settings, apart from disable pop.But then I think I wouldn't be able to download at all.

In gmail options select keep mails to server. Only that nothing else!
