Evolution email stopped processing filters

I am running Evolution 3.52.3-0ubuntu1 on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon.

My rules were working fine then stopped working without having made any changes.

An example log entry is below. It indicates success but it did not actually move the message. The message remained in the Inbox

2025-08-03 10:16:35 - Applied filter "Amazon" to message from Amazon.ca <auto-confirm@amazon.ca> - "Ordered: "BALFER Organic Beeswax...""
Header 'From' value ' "Amazon.ca" <auto-confirm@amazon.ca>' does match 'amazon.ca'
Finished test of message uid:46715 subject:'Ordered: "BALFER Organic Beeswax..."' from 'steve@crownedwarrior.com : INBOX' as MATCHED
Filter 'Amazon' matched

Action: Move to folder folder://local/Inbox/Amazon
Action: Stopped processing
Stopped processing per request

If I manually apply the rule to the message it works fine.

Any ideas where I should look for the issue?

TIA
Steve

It looks like filters eventually do work after a delay. I am seeing the delay in minutes sometimes. It's strange. The log looks normal. Maybe I can increase the log level and get more detail.

Make sure the destination folder is on the same account as the message. Also check that the rule is set to run automatically and that there are no conflicts or ordering issues with other filters.
