When i try to compile wine 1.0.0, it gets most of the way, then does this:

I'm using ubuntu 8.04.
The wine is a patched version, (a patch to enable animated cursors)
Anyone have any ideas?

Good luck - but Ubuntu has updated their repository to wine 1.0 so if you cannot get yours to compile use the repository.

sudo apt-get install wine

like i said, it's a patched version. The patch isn't in the official release, which is why im compiling it myself.

"Cannot find 'libxext'" means you will have to
install 'libxext-dev'
