Error building grub 1.99

In need of some assistance here with building grub 1.99

./configure

completes without errors

but with make I get

Not sure how to solve this one as I've tried patches relating to the
issue and they fail to apply

Hi,

I doubt this is LFS related if I look at your post. Are you trying to do this chapter 6.43. GRUB-1.99?

If it is not LFS related, please ask a mod, use the report button, to move this thread to the appropriate forum (I see a gentoo patch; should this go to the Gentoo forum?).

I'm sory, I put this in the wrong area...What I'm trying to do here is on a generic Linux system upgrade from grub 0.97 to grub 1.99 aka grub2.

Tried the link comfigure setting with no more success still failing in the same exact way with make. Can you please move this to the right area possibly? will request a move.

Thanks.
