Error 71 mutt config

I am trying to setup mutt to send a file.

I set my ~/.muttrc up as

Quote:

set pop_user="flebber.crue@gmail.com"
set pop_pass="passwd"
set from="flebber.crue@gmail.com"
set use_from=yes
set envelope_from="yes"
set folder=!mail

but I receive the following error.

Quote:

Error sending message, child exited 71 (operating system error.)

i can fix it but how do i set read/write only permissions level to a file

chmod is the command to change permissions. EG:

chmod +rw somefile

a + sign gives permissions while a - takes away. r=read w=write x=executable

so chmod -w somefile makes it read only, chmod +x makes it executable etc
