emule/ed2k client open port

theres ed2k client for linux such as lmule which uses port 4662 TCP and 4672 UDP which need to be opened if we are behind firewalll

i'm in a home network which uses router and windows xp sp2

i've allowed port 4662 and 4672 in windows firewall and loginto my router and directed all data from prot 4662 and 4672 to my pc.

the things i set works well in windows emule where i get great download and high id

this isnt look good in my newly installed fedora core 3

i dont get the same result from FC43 ed2k client?
i got low id and hard to connect to most of the server.

what is wrong.

in FC3 side, do i need to set anything to enable port 4662 and 4672 and how do i do that?

This worked for me using Fedora Core 3 and aMule 2.0.3:
From the GUI, click on "Applications" -> "System Settings" -> "Security Level"
(enter password for root)
the "Security Level Configuration" dialog pops up
enter "4662:tcp", without the quotes, in the bottom field labeled "Other ports: (1029:tcp)"
click "OK"
That's it.

Now when i connect to a new server with aMule, I get a High ID and green arrows around the little earth at the bottom right corner.
Good luck.
