email link in firefox opens wrong email client

after checking for similar threads i found none that explains a (simple) way to have firefox open thunderbird instead of kmail when I click on an email link on a webpage. it is not a big deal but it would be nice to know if it is at all possible. it is more like fine tuning.

you should configure your OS rather then configure firefox. Windows and Linux same, it will use your OS default email client.

You'll find this option under K -> system settings -> KDE Components if you are using Kubuntu.
