Hi...Running Redhat 9 with JDK 1.4.2. After extracting the zip, i try starting eclipse 2.1.2 GTK , the logo shows, and I get this stack trace. Any ideas guys?

Hmm, looks like it's having trouble reading some image. It'd be nice if it mentioned what image that happened to be, but such is life. Are you using a pixmap GTK theme? This doesn't happen with the Motif version, does it?
I had this problem today,just the same as you.When decompressing the zip file,I use the konqueror,so errors just as you show appears.But while I start konqueror from the console,a lot of errors dealing with gif file failures displayed,so I use unzip,guest what? Everything is ok.
so I think this error come from failure of decompression or the file corrupts,you'd better try to use md5 after download and unzip to install
Thanx man!! I also got it working last night. There is a bug in konqueror for uncompressing! I used unzip in console, and started eclipse....worked like a bomb!!!
