eclipse EMF plugin download problem

I am using Fedora Core 4. I have installed the eclipse 3.1 on it. When I am trying to download EMF plugin in eclipse, it gives me java.lang.OutOfMemory error. Does anybody have any idea, how can solve the problem.
Thanks in advance

You should be able to download EMF in a browser, save it to hard drive, unzip it. You then will have a plugins folder and a features folder. Move the plugins to /eclipse-home/plugins, and the features to /eclipse-home/features. Make sure to do this when eclipse is not open. Then you can start eclipse.

I have also had trouble with installing things via the eclipse update feature, but manual installation always works.
