Okay, at the risk of bumping my own thread, the "culprit" is
xulrunner.
After the system-wide update, I had FireFox 4, that thing uses xulrunner 2.0, Eclipse is not compatible with xulrunner 2.0, There is a workaround, but you'll need to run it from the console:
Quote:
eclipse -vmargs -Xmx384m -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2/
|
And effectively force Elcipse to use the "good" xulrunner"...
That is the situation until this thing sweats out...
Maybe I'll mark this as solved? Dunnow...

Edit : it is possible to edit the launcher, enter the console, become Root. Start gedit (or whatever editor your DE has) and open a file browser. Drag-n-drop /usr/share/applications/eclipse (the launcher) into the (root openend) gedit window, see the "exec" tag? It says "eclipse" - nothing more, add this to it
Quote:
-vmargs -Xmx384m -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2/

basically the same as when started from the console.
Save and exit root mode. The launcher should work properly now...
