Dual boot?

I have Windows 98 SE and RedHat 7 on my computer. I can only access Linux if I use the boot disk I created. IS there a way I can get a LILO prompt so I can boot Win or Linux without having to worry about the floppy? Thanks.

The easiest way is to rewrite lilo.conf and rerun lilo setup. this should give you the ability to add another OS to the lilo boot menu.

lilo.conf should look like:

boot=/dev/hda (or the coresponding letter for your HDD)
map=/lilo-map
delay=100
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt

image=/vmlinuz (your image file/kernel)
root=/dev/hda1 (location of partition)
label=linux

other=/dev/hda2 (location of partition)
table=/dev/hda (location of partition-which drive)
label=win

once the info has been added to lilo.conf, as root run /sbin/lilo and you should be done!
**your lilo.conf may look a little different. follow the format your file is written in and you should have no problems, but post again if you can't get it to work.
