[Linux Mint 20 Mate]
[Dropbox 102.4.43]
I've used Dropbox for years, but now that I've upgraded to Mint 20, it doesn't seem to be working right. (Stuck on the "Syncing..." message without actually doing anything.) At first, I completely uninstalled it and deleted my Dropbox folder to get a clean install, and waited for everything to re-download. Seemed to be working fine, until I rebooted and it switched back to just saying, "Syncing..." but not actually syncing any files I edited.
I already posted on the Dropbox Forum about it, but it's been 2 days and I haven't gotten a reply. Also, Dropbox has been sitting there "Syncing" this whole time and hasn't changed.
Probably worth mentioning that my desktop computer, running Windows 7, is handling Dropbox perfectly.
I have the same problem. For the first time I verify log messages on ~/.dropbox/logs and there is a error with gtk and cinnamon because the x32_64 version of system. I install the old version of Dropbox.
I uninstalled Dropbox, rebooted and installed the version from your link. When installing, it gave the warning that a newer version is available from the software channel, which I ignored. However, after installing, the version showed up as 102.4.431, which is the same version I had before! I even told the Update Manager to ignore future Dropbox updates. Did it auto-update itself? I'm confused.
EDIT: It's been several hours and it's still on "Syncing..." again! And dropbox command-line doesn't have a "--version" function.
