I think CentOS5 is a better idea for now. CentOS, just like Windows server are server os. It's not like a desktop OS where you always want the latest and greatest. Server OS need to time to mature before you can reliably use them as the software provided tend to be very conservative about supported versions.
In your case, you can import the keys manually using yum. But using CentOS5, it will work just fine. You will be supported for many years. If you use CentOS5 only for DRBL, CentOS7 will be out by the time they will drop support for it.
