Dovecot pop3 only issue

I'm guessing this is a permissions issue but even while running dovecot with strace I can't seem to spot where it'd be.
The issue is my log gets filled up with these errors:
dovecot: pop3(server): Error: creat(0/20211119-152959.7566.1.in) failed: Not a directory: 1 Time(s)
dovecot: pop3(server): Error: creat(0/20211119-153355.8895.1.in) failed: Not a directory: 1 Time(s)

It only happens with MY account. Others who have mail accounts with me have no such issue. IF I move my home directory to a dir.bak and recreate it, then the error goes away so I'm pretty sure it's a permissions related issue but I have NO idea where it'd be making a directory called "0". Any clues would be appreciated.
