DivX codec...when is itinstalled?

Ok, I needed to get the Divx codec for Linux in order to play my avis.

No problem, I ust go on the net and grab one. The file for install is install.sh.

No problem, I just go on X Terminal, and type sh install.sh.

Well, it denies it. So, I know I need o be in super user mode.

I type sudo sh install.sh.

It asks for password. When I press enter, there's nothing ongoing. I try again, it does nothing, and doesn't asks for my password.

Did I forget something? Am I using the good one?

Here's the link I used, if this helps

I would seriously suggest installing the open-source but divx-compatible XviD codec.
